Dedicated to the memory of Veronica Hamling-Bratbak

This site is a tribute to Veronica Hamling-Bratbak, She is much loved and will always be remembered as a loving, giving, caring mother. She joined our Creator and the love of her life Richard Bratbak on January 28th 2018. She was born to Robert C Wright and Thelma Ruth Hopkins-Wright-Langley, in Sumner WA on February 08, 1943. She attended Sumner High School and was on the dance team. Sang in the choir at Sumner Bible Church. She attended Central Washington University and was part of the elite Silver Spurs dance and Cheer team. While at Central, she met Dennis R Hamling, they immediately, fell in love and were married shortly after Dennis's graduation. They settled down in Lacey Wa and started a family right away. She landed a lifetime career with the State of Washington in Olympia. To move up in Management she attended Evergreen State College and finally received her Bachelor degree in 1989. This was a proud moment in time for her. In 1986 she decided to move on in life, and moved from Lacey to Tacoma WA. Shortly after she met Richard Bratbak of Tacoma. She then retired after 31 years with the State. She lived a full fun life of travel with Richard and their lovely friends, Helga and Ron. An outstanding feat that she and Richard had done was that they bought and remodeled six homes, including their masterpiece and home in Tacoma with the help of their kids and Niece, Chandra Bundy. Veronica would always talk about her cherished conversations and time spent with her sister Rose Longnecker every Friday for coffee.  She was very artistic in drawing and Painting in her younger years, and a great piano player. She dedicated a large portion of her life to religious involvement. She involved her life in helping the AIDS babies in Africa and collecting donations and teddy bears for medical help and clothing to the children and visited the villages to pass out clothing and toys. She leaves behind her son, Vaughn Hamling of Tacoma WA, her daughter Patrice Pimentel of Queen Creek Arizona, Step daughter Krista Nutter of Puyallup WA and Step son Kevin Bratbak of Milton WA. along with, her four grandchildren that she deeply loved, Steven and Erica Hart, Kameron Waite and Jaimes Nutter. She was taken too soon from all of us. We will miss her but we have the fun memories of our times together with our cherished family.
